Church of the Messiah

Just opposite the Tower of David Museum is the Church of the Messiah complex that is also known as the first Protestant church in the Middle-East. Construction began in the 19th century when a stonemason master arrived from Malta to contribute his expertise to the project.

The building is decorated with traditional Jewish motifs such as the altar bearing the Star of David and the name of Jesus inscribed in Hebrew letters. There is also a small museum in the church dedicated to Conrad Schick's models and images.

Address: Omar Ibn Al Hatab St.
